Overview
From Business Email Compromise to Social Engineering, fraudsters are constantly working to get your information and that of your clients’. This session will provide a refresher and update on common cyber fraud schemes and discuss prevention methods.
Objectives
• Assess the risks associated with social engineering tactics, ransomware attacks and other cyber threats in order to develop and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Recognize various types of scams and fraudulent activities, such as Business Email Compromise (BEC), romance scams, identity theft, and phishing schemes, based on their characteristics and common tactics used.
• Analyze regulatory compliance requirements related to fraud prevention and cybersecurity outlined by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and other relevant authorities.
